Virginia "Ginger" Mumford of Sequim, WA passed away peacefully on May 5th 2021. Ginger was born on July 14th, 1944 in Everett General Hospital. She grew up in Everett, graduated from Everett High School in 1962, and loved the PNW. Ginger enjoyed crocheting, baking, walking on the beach, square dancing, and being with family. She was a member of Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church in Sequim, Sons of Norway in Poulsbo, and the Rhody O's square dance club near Sequim. She participated for several years in the American Cancer Society's RELAY FOR LIFE and was a Golden Circle member of Beta Sigma Phi. Ginger was preceded in death by her husband Wayne and her parents Lawrence "Herb" and Evelyn Lowe. She is survived by daughter Denise (Don), grandson Brin, sister Nancy, niece Lois (Mark) and nephew Steve (Judi), grandnephew Collin and grandnieces Jackie, Kathy, and Kirsten, and many friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. In memory of Ginger donations for Glioblastoma research may be made to Glioblastoma Foundation, Swedish Hospital, or Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, or to Josephine Caring Community in Stanwood, where Ginger received excellent care in the final weeks of her life.
