Selinda Marie Thorson 1935-2017

Selinda Marie Thorson Selinda Marie Thorson, 81 formerly of Fort Collins, passed away on Thursday, January 5th, 2017 in Everett Washington. Selinda was born June 25, 1935 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin to Carl and Signe (Lemponen) Anderson. Selinda is survived by children, Susan (Gary) Stormo, Nancy (Jim) Elwell, Dan (Alix) Thorson, and beloved grandchildren, Jill, Corey, Tessa, Abby and Ian. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold and her cherished dachshunds, Cindy, Snoopy and Rosie. After growing up in Wisconsin and Minnesota, Selinda spent 38 years in Fort Collins as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Rarely, if ever missing the sporting or musical events of her children and grandchildren. She also spent 30 years working for Poudre R-1 as a dietary aide. Selinda enjoyed friends and family above all else, but she also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, walking local 5 and 10Ks (especially the Bolder Boulder) and, in the last few years, watching Dancing with the Stars. Selinda will be forever loved and missed. If you wish, donations can be made to the Larimer County Humane Society. Selinda's family will hold services at a later date.
