Ruth Leigh Dills Houghtaling 1940-2017

July 28, 1940 - January 31, 2017 Ruth Leigh Dills Houghtaling was born in Topeka, Kansas on July 28, 1940. She passed away at Northwest Hospital in Seattle, WA on January 31, 2017. She worked in the Everett, WA School District both as a speech and hearing therapist, and as a special education teacher. She retired in 2000. Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Mary, in 2015. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, David, of Everett, WA; her daughter, Mary, of Lake Stevens, WA; her son, Scott of Edmonds, WA; her daughter, Kristi, of Piscataway, NJ; her granddaughter, Ally, of Lake Stevens, WA; her grandson, Jared, of Fribourg, Switzerland; her granddaughter, Amy, of Marysville, WA; and her grandson, Zachary, of Seattle, WA. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at Solie Funeral Home, 3303 Colby Avenue, Everett, WA.
