Lansing Parrow

Born May 20, 1954, in Port Huron, Michigan

Died July 31, 2024 in Everett, Washington

Survived by his wife of 16 years, Jacqueline, and two stepchildren, Cheryl Saunders, and Mars Ochsner

His family moved to Hawaii in the mid 1960’s where he had adventures like surfing, hang gliding, water skiing, dirt biking, cliff diving and even a bass player in a garage band (briefly)! He moved stateside as an adult (California) and eventually made it up to the Seattle area. He was no saint, but he was sober for the last 26 years of his life.

He met his lady-wife, Jackie, in 2008 at the end of the “Bunny Run”, which is a charity fund-raiser ride by the Great Northwest Hog Group @ Emerald City Harley Davidson (a group of Harley Davidson enthusiasts) because she rides a Harley, too! She was his second marriage, and they had 16 magical years and many adventures together!

For the past 25 years, he was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., (“SCA”) a non-profit, pre-17th Century history, educational and recreation club. His passion was teaching traditional archery, especially to children.

A LOT of people loved Lance because of his open-hearted warmth, his generosity of spirit and his sense of humor! He was easy-going and down to earth, which made him approachable and easy to talk to. He loved to talk, but he was a good listener, too! He probably never knew just how much of a difference he made in people’s lives. He will be sorely missed
