Keith Leroy Birk Sept 20 1925 - July 5th 2022
Keith was age 96. He was from Everett, WA, yet born in Grafton, ND into a Norwegian farming family of seven children. His parents were Leonard and Elisa (Kydland) Birk. Keith was a former farmer and Navy Seabee (the Pacific arena). His long career before retiring was a Semi truck driver and a teamster member. He was also an amateur builder, mechanic and all around Mr. Fix-it and helper to all. He also had a special talent of making Norwegian Klub (pronounced klooob) for family gatherings that he loved. Keith and his wife LaVerne (nee) Lysaker of Moorhead, MN were married for 60 years before she passed. They lived in Many Places in Washington and Minnesota. They made many road trips around the USA...they liked to Travel! And they enjoyed going dancing. He especially liked old country music while traveling and stopping at casinos. Keith is survived by three children...Janine (Birk) DiMonda, Timothy (Tim) Birk and Thomas (Tom) Birk. Also Janine and Bill's (DiMonda) six children and their spouses, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He really loved his grandchildren and keeping up with their lives. Keith also has two remaining sisters, Martha Brown and Effie Randal, their families and many more nieces and nephews from siblings that have passed. He is loved by all and dearly missed for his kindness, humor and his hat sitting high and slightly off center on his head.
