John Howard Bruff John Bruff passed away peacefully at home surrounded by those he loved January 12, 2017, of emphysema. John was born in Yakima, WA, August 9, 1941, to John Hardin Bruff and Pauline Bruff. A proud member of the United States Army, he served from 1962-1969. He worked for Napa Auto Parts as a salesman for many years then drove the Dart bus for the handicapped and enjoyed helping them. He had three sons, Buddy, Mike, and Rick with his former wife, Mercedes and had two grandchildren, Casey and Keri. He met his life partner, Arlene and had 30 wonderful years together traveling, and socializing with friends. He was a member of the Eagles #195 and American Legion #96. John's kindness, generosity and his joking with all his family and friends will be missed. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, sister, Nadine and brothers, Allen, Billy, and Paul. He is survived by his sister Carol Chappell and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Noon at Solie Funeral Home in Everett, followed by Military Honor Guard service at the GAR Cemetery in Snohomish, Washington.
