In Loving Memory
Cecilia A. LaVigne
July 13, 1944 - December 28, 2024
Cecilia Anne LaVigne, 80, of Everett, Washington, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones, on December 28, 2024, in Bermuda Dunes, California, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on July 13, 1944, in Seattle, Washington, Cecilia was the daughter of Raymond Theodore Turner and Margaret Anne Turner. She graduated from Bothell High School in 1962 and began a fulfilling career, starting with Reeve Air Alaska. She went on to manage travel agencies and became a travel agent, which sparked her lifelong passion for exploring the world and vacationing with family and friends.
Cecilia was a loving mother to her three children: Teresa Lynn Stratton, Brian Lee Stratton, and Darren Ray Anhalt. In 1979, she met her soulmate, Ted LaVigne, and they were married on July 4, 1981. Together, they built a successful gas station and car wash business in Lynnwood, Washington, and also ran a travel agency in Bellingham, Washington.
Cecilia was dedicated to giving back to her community, volunteering her time with the Assistance League of Everett and the March of Dimes.
As a long standing member of the Everett and Seattle yacht clubs she spent endless summers organizing and facilitating boating events.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Raymond Theodore Turner Jr. and Albert Daniel Turner; her daughter, Teresa Lynn Buckingham; and her grandson, Theodore “Paul” LaVigne.
Cecilia leaves behind her beloved husband, Ted LaVigne; her children, Brian (Debbie), Darren (Annie), Ted Jr. (Kristy), Whitney, Michael (Daney); seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and her siblings Bill, Don, Patricia, and Judy.
Her warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Cecilia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made at the Assistance League of Everett.
