Arthur Hudson
Arthur (Tom) Hudson July 23, 1931 - June 2, 2023 Arthur Thomas (Tom) Hudson, was born July 23, 1931 in Willows CA. He passed away peacefully June 2, 2023, at home with his daughter by his side.
Tom grew up in Everett, graduated from Everett High school, , married his high school sweetheart Charlotte and raised two children in Everett (Steven Thomas Hudson and Denise Renee Hudson Harvey). Tom and Charlotte were married for 60 years.
Tom joined the Navy in 1952 and was active duty till 1953 then he went Active Reserves until 1993 when he retired as a Chief. Tom always joked that " he joined the Navy to see the world and got to see Bremerton".
Tom worked for General Telephone for his career and had made many many friends along the way. All who knew Tom loved Tom.
Tom also was an auto mechanic and work on peoples cars in the evenings and weekends as a side job because he loved it so much.
Tom and Charlotte loved to travel but their favorite place was Kauai, Hawaii and they had a time share condo there for many many years after they retired.
After Charlottes death, Tom was lost but he still sang with the choir at Sunrise convalescent home and while doing that he met his next love Karen Stevens. Karen plays about every instrument and they loved to play the music and sing together. He cared and loved her immensely and she him.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte, son Steve, nephew Chris Fader, parents, both his brother-in -laws (Harold (Spud" Fader, Nedwin Johnson and many aunts, uncles and cousins
Tom is survived by his sister Patricia (Paddy) Fader, daughter Denise Harvey (Dave), his love Karen Stevens, His Grandchildren Kelle Schleis (Mike), Stephanie Harvey, Great-grandchildren Ashley Whaley (Avery), Nick Harvey, Jacob Schleis, Blake McCommas, Abby Schleis, and Savanna O'Dell, his great-great granddaughters Macy & London Whaley, his nieces Barbara Johnson Morris Fernald, Heidi Holmes (Roger), Jessica Schneider (Sam), and many grand- nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at Cyprus Lawn Memorial Park, 1615 SE Everett Mall Way Everett Wa, Monday June 12, 2023 at 2:00pm with a viewing at Solie's Funeral Home 3301 Colby Ave Everett Wa from 11:00am - 1:00pm.
A celebration of life will be held on July 22, 2023 at the family home from 1:00-4:00 pm
